Forester 2000 Processor, Sawmill, and Pellitizer

Leave nothing in the woods. In today’s competitive market, using all the resources of the woods only makes sense. The Forester 2000 series offers the ability to cut lumber or cants at rates up to 200 inches per minute, produce firewood, and soon make fuel pellets in the woods. This system makes money from everything in the woods.

Standard Features

1. HIGH PRODUCTION PROCESSOR
Our processor module bundles the infeed and cutoff operation into one. This reduces the cut time of a log significantly and greater production is realized.
2. 10 FOOT LIVE INFEED BED WITH 10’ EXTENSION
The extended infeed bed can easily handle logs up to 30 feet long and 20” in diameter. With some care multiples of small logs can be processed to increase the cordage output of the system.
3. FIVE 5 FOOT LIVE LOG DECK ARMS
Our 2000 series has three arms on the main infeed and two on the infeed extension. In addition an automatic log feed feature can be added which assures that there is a log in the infeed bed at all times.
4. 125 OR 250-HP DIESEL ENGINE WITH HYDRAULIC PUMPS & SOLENOID VALVES
The operations available determine the size of the engine pack. If the processor is going to include the lumber package and hi-pressure firewood chain saw and splitter, then the 250-HP engine pack is required.
5. 30 INCH SAW BAR CAPABLE OF CUTTING LOGS UPTO 20” IN DIAMETER
New technology has greatly enhanced the speed of the cutting cycle. Our 30” saw bar features a 404 chain that is easy to remove and replace.
6. V-TROUGH BOX SPLITTER WITH 5 by 28” SPLITTER PISTON
Splitters take the greatest abuse of entire system. To handle this type of abuse, we build our splitters in an enclosed frame. This transfers the splitting force away from the base of the blade to the splitter frame.
7. 6 OR 8 WAY ADJUSTABLE SPLITTERS WITH INSERT KNIVES
There is no need to split and then re-split with our splitters. Due to the design of our frame, large blocks can be easily processed in one operation. Our splitter knives with the insert blades were developed over 20 years ago. These blades have a hardened leading edge that withstands most abuse, but when damage does happen they can be taken out in minutes and easily replaced
8. 12 FOOT INCLINE CONVEYOR
No one wants to handle firewood twice. This adjustable height conveyor will carry all the wood you give it and deliver it to most standard trucks.
9. 48” DIAMETER SCRAG SAW ON A FLYING CARRIAGE
Why not make the most of the materials in the woods. Some logs at a clean up sight can be profitably turned into cants. The slabs from these into fire wood all on the same machine.
10. PELLETIZER OR CHIPPER
Because of the market for fuel why not turn the branches into pellets. Our soon to be announced chipper will make pellets and blow them into bulk bins or bag them for market.

Accessories

Log loading boom
For those systems where the logs are brought to the landing and piled, the addition of a loading boom eliminates the need of secondary equipment. This is mounted directly adjacent to the splitter, and has a reach of up to 14 feet if mounted to the Forester 2000 frame.

Operator cab
The addition of the operator cab immediately over the splitter makes it convenient and comfortable to operate the processor in any type of weather.

Remote hand-held operators pendent
The remote-hand pendent gives the operator the freedom to operate the system from a loader or simply from a convenient position.

Chipper
Branches, tree tops and brush can be turned into chip and later sold for a variety of uses. We will soon be introducing a pelletizer that can make fuel pellets from the scraps of the logging sight. In addition, we will be introducing a lumber molding line that can turn trash chip into profitable lumber and moldings that look nice and can be fire retardant and even bug resistant. Two by fours made from this have the strength of a natural softwood counterpart. They also have the added advantage of being without knots or splits. We feel that the improved appearance and durability of these will quickly catch on in the lumber industry. The advantage for you as the field contractor is you can compete with the larger distributors by reducing the big company overhead and longer shipping costs. You can directly market pellets directly to the consumer market.

Field pelletizer and bagger
Another product line that will soon be introduced is a pelletizer and bagger. By adding this to the accessories mounted on the frame, you maximize your profit from both the processor and logging sight.

Fire Wood Bundler
We will also be introducing a short incline that feeds directly to an automatic grading bundler system. This system will allow you to choose bulk processing and feeding into dumpsters or packaging bundles for retail operations. Again your product-to-profit ratio skyrockets when labor is either greatly reduced or eliminated.
